Aurelia’s growth capital team has been designed to build upon the years of specialist mid-market sell-side advice its sector M&A banking team has provided to entrepreneurs, with the sole purpose of helping their companies scale operations to either dominate locally, or further into international markets. The team will advise companies that have witnessed the first stages of commercial traction after being venture backed and position them for rapid expansion through a mixture of advisory support and ultimately, access to a deep funding base of private growth investors. Similarly we will work with entrepreneurs that have grown impressively without any outside capital and are looking for a first institutional partner to help drive the business to the next level of growth.
We understand that Africa is in a golden-age of innovation, seeing it first hand through our conversations with the entrepreneurs we advise across a number of sectors. With the private capital now available and focused on Africa and the Middle East, we look to work with impressive entrepreneurs that want to make big differences in large markets and find the right investment partners who share that vision
The growth capital team works closely with sector specialist bankers and investor coverage groups to plan the right growth & fundraising strategy, mainly focused on raising primary growth capital to organically build revenues/profits, but can also include capital to fund acquisitive growth and/or provide liquidity to existing shareholders or early backers.
