With over a decade in Corporate Finance industry, before founding Aurelia Capital, he started his career at Morgan Stanley in their M&A function focusing on Natural Resources, he also worked at Nomura in their M&A function overseeing Financial Institutions Group, focusing on Banks and Insurance companies. He worked at Barclays Capital within their Fixed income Emerging Markets team in their London and West African offices. Thereafter, working within finance at Goldman Sachs with a focus on debt financing, risk management and structured finance, executing billions of dollars of financing across the Developed and Emerging Market world.

Thomas has extensive international experience of improving business performance.  Since 1997, Thomas has led successful business improvement and turnaround projects.  He has a proven ability to identify, plan, implement and manage change in time critical, sensitive projects.

Prior to Aurelia, he spent four years in KPMG’s Restructuring Team where he concentrated on operational improvement of cross border and complex turnarounds. Thomas concurrently runs successful corporate finance boutiques, which have executed billions of dollars of capital raising. Thomas’s career has also included two years in South East Asia, where he restructured the operations of a footwear supply business.  Before his involvement with under-performing businesses, Thomas spent six years in the British Army.

Investment Banking professional with over 20yrs of experience in Treasury and Capital Markets. He commenced his career at the Bank of New York focusing on Liquidity Management of Asset Management clients. He joined BNP Paribas Securities Services UK as Vice President of Treasury Services and instrumental in the set up Global Liquidity Management function of the Bank. He serves as the Managing Director of Africa UCT Limited which he founded and provides consultancy services to Global Banks including Barclays Capital, HSBC, Lloyds, Credit Suisse and IG Group in the area of Banking Reform and Regulation, Liquidity Management and Global Payments.

Paolo started his career at UBS in London in the Investment Bank where he completed a number of transactions in the travel space, including the creation of the first €1bn online travel agent, and was the financial advisor to a FTSE100 company. Paolo continued his corporate finance career at EY and DC Advisory and remains a strong supporter of nascent businesses either by being an Advisory Board member (LensShift, Impact Squared) and as mentor (African Entrepreneurship Awards, Seedstars Global, Leaders on Purpose)

He has worked in Tanzania and South Africa both as an entrepreneur co-founding a mobile money billing & invoicing business and as an advisor to an investor who wanted to restructure the debt on his 5-star hotel and simultaneously purchase two other hotels. During his time in Tanzania he completed a report for the World Bank analysing the state of mobile financial services in Sub Saharan Africa and completed a valuation exercise for the IFC and Rwandan government to determine the impact of four specific economic reforms in Rwanda.

Experienced Director with a 17-year history of working across the finance industry mainly within Single Family Offices. Who most recently provided corporate finance advice and funding solutions to Family Offices and mid-market companies in the UK and Europe. 

Entrepreneurial and well-rounded corporate finance professional with extensive experience in originating and executing advisory and multi-million fundraising transactions. Enhanced skills in building and maintaining client relationships while managing diverse global strategic projects. With a track record of resolving multiple and complex issues and developing profitable solutions.

Senior Legal professional with expertise in corporate finance and emerging markets. She started her career at Deloitte before moving over to head teams at Goldman Sachs, and leading Private Equity firms. Primarily focusing on Structured Products, Structured Finance, Legal & Compliance

With over a decade in Corporate Finance industry, he started his career at Morgan Stanley in their M&A function focusing, before focussing his efforts on Fixed income advisory at Credit Suisse. Chase currently oversees the EMEA and CIS Investment Banking Division at Aurelia Capital, with a focus on structured financed and restructing services, he also is an advisory member of the Ophelia Investment Trust. He holds an MBA from Harvard University.
